In the Heart of the Future - Psalm 104 - Study 17

In the Heart of the Future - Psalm 104 - Study 17

He is the "Boss"

Now lets let God take control and let Him be the boss and take us out of our "Comfort Zone"
for a while

Its nice to be within the confines of a "comfort zone" but in this we will never really learn and grow and
build "bigger barns" and to stretch out our tents corners

Isaiah 54:2

"Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your
cords, strengthen your stakes.

So lets break out of the confines and take a look at the Truth beyond the borders

And go "Back to the Future"

Do you know that when we apply Gods word to our lifes now we are applying a word that is
eternal both which was applied in the ancient times by people and will also be lived and applied
both now and in the future ?'nt it ?

Why is it that we always feel threatened with certain things and yet when something is aimed at
someone else the finger is not pointing at us , then we feel ok ?

You know when the finger points at a bro or sis In Jesus it points at us anyway ?

Beware of the person who points at others , they have something they are hiding !

so anyway if you feel threatened by this study that good,

If you feel uneasy about it .....thats good

If it makes you feel uncomfortable ...thats good

So lets get on with the study as we continue with Psalm 104

You know, I cannot think of many people who have never worshipped another god or put
another god before God !

Now I'm not going to make the mistake of saying "the only person who knew no sin was Jesus"

Ive done that before now and I realise that it is

And so in that I "repent" that is I change direction and believe something else, which does'nt
mean I have a weakness (by the way) its means Im fallible and human and in that God can
use me

So yes Jesus knew no sin but don't forget that "Adam and Eve had no sin" either before the fall
so in that they did sin , don't forget that they were "without sin" before

And of cause God who was there in Eden as well who is Jesus and The Holy Spirit

So every person alive, having worshipped another god...has sinned or broken a commandment by
worshipping another god

The bible only points at specific places and people in time, much like a magnifying glass, the Holy
Spirit picks out certain people and certain locations extracting only certain things and times and

At the time we focus on the Christmas event now where the baby Jesus was born we forget that the
Holy Spirit of God is beaming in on one event and one place and at the same time the rest of the
world was out of focus

Busy worshipping other gods

Umm I'm sure you've heard an example thats been kicked around within the Church for some
years now....

"Its of the man spending hours washing his car on a sunday instead of going to Church"

And the punch line is "the Car is his god"

And that sounds like a good example until its goes too far and gets taken over the boundaries and
too far to be at a point where its both silly and rediculous

Certain people could and did point at my business (work) and say" O thats his god"

Because up until 5 years ago I worked ten hours a day 6 days a week and that was fine, nothing
unusual in that, most self employed people work long hours and a lot of employed people do
as well

Sundays for me after Church would be occupied with doing the books and diary and then onto
house work and general diy and thats cool, quite normal (if there is such a thing as "normal"Wink

But you know, nearly 27 years ago someone gave a word one day in a prayer meeting we had
at work (a Christian company prayer time)

And I acted on that word and left the job I had and waited on God

And surely enough things began to happen and the business began initlially intended to reach out
to people in the community as well as to be a work and income

But you see that I saw as Gods calling on my life

Gods calling can be anything that God calls you too

God might call you into being a "doctor" or a "nurse" and that is Gods calling in your life

God might call you and direct you into being a "vet" or an "ambulance driver" or a "firemen"

Just because God does'nt call you into the "ministry" as in the "Church"

Does'nt mean that its less of a calling or a non calling

Your work that you do 'is Gods work' if you are walking in Gods will and being directed by Him
then you are doing Gods work

Just because you are not in a "visible" Church calling does'nt mean that your work is any less

Whatever God has called you to do "do it as unto God"

I have always seen my business as "Gods" its His and all that I have done in the past has always
beeen done unto Him with God in mind, because Ive always seen it as "the job God gave me"

And it was "literally"

Some years earlier before this I was involved in an "outreach centre" and run a coffee shop
with snacks and various food items

And agin this was for outreach into the community and something that God begun and that was
Gods calling at that time

Ive heard and seen people point at me now with this site and say "oooo thats his god"

STOP being so silly

It might sound good but it pure nonsense

You take one example and even that example (which might sound good) has flaws

How do you know the person that is cleaning the car on a sunday morning is not a minister of
the gospel who is just out of hospital with a terminal illness ?

Whatever you do it as unto God

Whatever you say "say it as unto God"

Colossians 3:23

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men,

Ephesians 6:7 Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men,

Once you take that example of "o it must be his/her God" into the Christian arena then don't be
surprised if it comes back on you, for wherever you point the finger it will boomerang back

Ive heard people murmer "O this is his god... the internet"

IF ITS NOT CHURCH - ITS NOT GOD was actaully the last thing I in my own nature wanted to do,

Why would I want to put money (that I did'nt have into this ? )

When there was so much debt I could even buy a pair of shoes ?

It went against my better judgement and my will and against my careful and planned normal nature

The last thing I wanted to do at the time when in financial trouble was to begin investing in this

But it was Gods calling and no one can tell me otherwise

And I can tell you it was a real struggle against my inward nature and went against my own desires

But Gods call prevailed and with it God took me out of the financial mess

You see it was out of my control, God had the steering wheel and He was the boss

And yes it was "uncomfortable and it took me out of the comfort zone"

But why do you think we have the Holy Spirit who is The "Comforter ?"

Now lets take this example to the extreems and lets go silly in "O its his/her god"

"O thats ministers god is the Church....o thats ministers god is prayer"

Now thats silly is'nt it ? we've taken it from "Christian circles now and into the "Church"

"O thats persons god was sheep and then it became adultery and money and then back to God again
.........o that persons god was the egyptian culture and then sheep again and then leading people "

Now we've just included David and Moses, well thats silly is'nt it ?

You see we've gone from everyone has a god or has had a god too....

Christian circles and "whatever you do it as unto God"

Neither does it mean that whatver a Christian does IS of God

That is dangerous territory to believe that "all we do must be of God"

That doe'nt mean that Christian do not have gods for when something is not done as unto God

Your wife can be a god in life if she is put above God...and so it goes on

You see stop being so silly because ONLY GOD KNOWS AND ONLY GOD KNOWS WHO ARE HIS

Whatever you do in life it as unto God and therefore put Him first and He will lead you on
from that place

If you are not called into the ministry then whatver you are called too, see it as Gods calling in your
life, for that is the chain that God has put into place and that is the place in society where you can
make the difference

Genesis 13:10

Lot looked up and saw that the whole plain of the Jordan was well watered, like
the garden of the LORD,

Genesis 2:8 Now the LORD God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and
there he put the man he had formed.

We once more go back to the garden of Eden and we see the soot of sin once more as
Adam and Eve take themselves out of Gods prescence

Not that God wanted this barrier to come between Himself and mankind

As David himself had said in
Psalm 51:10

"Create in me a clean heart O Lord and renew a right spirit within me,

11 Do not cast me from your presence

or take your Holy Spirit from me.12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation

and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.

And so Adam and Eve had departed from the Lord as God is a Holy God

Adam and Eve had the Holy Spirit of God breathed into them but now they had departed from
God their spirits were not right with God and they were doomed

Their bodies would now for the first time know decay and they would now face aging and death

Not only that but their spirits were corrupted, no longer the Holy Spirit eternal
righteous Spirit but a spirit of disobedience had entered in

Genesis 18:23Then Abraham approached him and said: “Will you sweep away the righteous with the

24What if there are fifty righteous people in the city? Will you really sweep
it away and not sparef the place for the sake of the fifty righteous people in it?

25Far be it from you to do such a thing—to kill the righteous with the wicked,
treating the righteous and the wicked alike. Far be it from you! Will not the Judgeg
of all the earth do right?”

Even if there was one righteous person in that City God would not have destroyed the city,
hence lot ran and was saved, but destruction came upon all who stayed within those City
walls for the sin had risen to the nostrils of God

Rather than God breathing into the nostrils of man (The two halfs)

Now the stench of sin had reached the nostrils of God and man breahted into the nostrils
of God

Now there was separation (two halfs) one part going to destruction and the other going
to be with God

The Righteous and the unrighteous

Now there was the separation

Genesis 3:24

After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim
and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.

Have you ever wondered why We are focused on David as he counts his armies ?

Maybe it was because the sin of the nation had ascended and risen to the throne and
resulted in the very king becoming affected by the nations corruptness

Or maybe the magnifying glass of God focuses on David because God KNEW DAVIDS HEART

Even so the nation suffered
2 Samuel 24

15 So the Lord sent a terrible disease on Israel. It began in the morning and
continued until the chosen time to stop. From Dan to Beersheba seventy thousand people

17 When David saw the angel that killed the people, he said to the Lord, "I am the one
who sinned and did wrong. These people only followed me like sheep. They did nothing

Have you veer wondered why the magnifying glass of God is focused on Job and not on
the other people , families, friends, relatives, sons, daughters ?

Job 1

13One day when Job’s sons and daughters were feasting and drinking wine at the oldest
brother’s house, 14a messenger came to Job and said, “The oxen were plowing and the
donkeys were grazing nearby, 15and the Sabeans attacked and carried them off. They put
the servants to the sword, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!”

16While he was still speaking, another messenger came and said, “The fire of God fell
from the sky and burned up the sheep and the servants, and I am the only one who has
escaped to tell you!”

17While he was still speaking, another messenger came and said, “The Chaldeans formed
three raiding parties and swept down on your camels and carried them off. They put the
servants to the sword, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!”

18While he was still speaking, yet another messenger came and said, “Your sons and
daughters were feasting and drinking wine at the oldest brother’s house, 19when
suddenly a mighty wind swept in from the desert and struck the four corners of the
house. It collapsed on them and they are dead, and I am the only one who has escaped
to tell you!”

Have you ever wondered why the magnifying Glass of God is focused on Adam and Eve and not
all those who died after the fall ?

Have you ever wondered why the magnifying Glass of God is focused on Noah and his family
and not on all those destroyed in the flood ?

Yes God is Love and can be nothing else

God does'nt choose that all should perish but that all should have eternal life

So what stops people ?

You know many would bypass the Old Testament and look to the new

"The Good news " of the gospel message

Jesus died for you and if you were the only one (in sodom) He would have died for you so that
you could run from that City (REVERSE YOUR PATH) and be saved

Note that if you there were still fifty sinners left within that city ...but those sinners were "Gods"
(as God knows who are His even before they are saved) then He would have saved the City for
the sake of those who were His (have you ever wondered why God does not destroy everything
NOW ? and why God allows the world to go on like it does ?)

So God knows who are His , in that "He knows who will repent and turn" , as in "He knows who
are His....before they come to Him and after"

Luke 16:27 “He answered, ‘Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my family, 28 for I have five
brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.’

31 “He said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced
even if someone rises from the dead.’”

Bad news sells, bad news makes money, bad news sells newspapers, bad news is even used for
publicity, (Come to our place and we will donate 40% of the proceeds to the disaster)

Good news does'nt sell does it ?

People would switch off if we had "the ten o'clock good news channel"

They might be more interested if it was local good news about people they know, but even that
would get boring and gossip would have to be included in that package

Gossip in (this day and age) seems to be getting more and more prevalent

More and more magazines and articles are published and created every day about "Gossip"

Most of which can turn out to be "untrue"

Words get twisted and quotes get turned around as the "money makers" look for more and more
juicy "gossip" to mess up lifes and pull down Celebreties

Then the Celebreties catch hold of this and begin to use this as a ploy for good publicity

And so the web of deceit get ever more and more tangled and no one knows what to believe

Or they belive a lie and are happy because it fits in with their way of viewing life

Funny is'nt it ?

when we come to the bible which is "Gods Living Word" few people can believe it , let alone turn
to God and live it

Even Gods own tend to miss the Old Testament because that seems to be full of "bad news"

People getting killed and wars and famines...........

As if the world changes when the gospel begins and wars and hunger cease to exist

The good news of the Gospel is one that requires I turn around from the way I live and turn to God
and in that is my reversal

Is it any wonder why so many choose alternative religions or alternative ways ?

And so this takes us back to the voice of the Holy Spirit and the John The Baptist of the
wilderness clearing the path and making it straight and preparing the way (the heart)

But lets look at the start of this scripture and see the bit that comes at the "Beginning"

Matthew 3:1-3

I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish."

1In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the Desert of Judea 2and saying, “Repent, for
the kingdom of heaven is near.” 3This is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah:

“A voice of one calling in the desert,

‘Prepare the way for the Lord,

make straight paths for him.’” [a ]

[a] = make straight the paths of our God

Luke 13:5

5I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.
