John 4:31,Study 21,Brick By Brick

John 4:31,Study 21,Brick By Brick

THE GATE OF Miphkad

The Gate Miphkad - Nehemiah 3: 31

Now to the Miphkad Gate showing us that we are all saved for a reason and purpose with all
being numbered and counted unto salvation Jeremiah 1:5

Nothing happnes by chance or accident and every day is numbered and every coming and
going is counted and every tear is collected and every heart beat is known of Psalm 139:3

Where every hair on our heads is numbered Luke 12:7 even to the precise second of each
minute

And all who are saved by the blood of the Lamb and are known by Him and walk in Him are
numbered as the armies that march to the gate are counted and the census is taken

Not inside the Walls and not inside the Gate but of course we are numbered outside the city

In the place nearby and at this Miphkad (which means to number or to count) those who are
unclean and unpurified are counted

As a heifer (bull) was taken outside Hebrews 9:13 of the city to be burnt and kep for purification
for sin and for water separation Num. 19:1-9

So Jesus went outside the Gate Mark 15:28 to be a sin offering and outside the city walls being
"Numbered " with the transgressors Isaiah 53:12

And so we we begin once more with the gate of Miphkad (Numbering) Altar

SHARING IN HIS SUFFERING TO SHARE IN HIS GLORY

Deuteronomy 21:17

And the first born child of the Father shall receive a double portion and the first born child
of the Father 2 Kings 2:9 shall receive the inheritance Deuteronomy 21:15–17

And He being the Son of The Father being the firstborn Romans 8:29 who is Jesus

1 Corinthians 15:49 Colossians 1:15

Now I want to focus on Romans 8:29 which reads

because those whom God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the
image of his Son, that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.

The Manchild, this manchild growing up in the womb of a new creation , that is to say
"Jesus with us " Immanuel

The first born in us and with us , we are the children of God being made into the image of
His Son

As we were made in the Image of God at creation, so too we are now as "new creations" being
made into the likeness of His Son

That we might receive an inheritance Romans 8:17 Acts 20:32

As too Elisha received a double portion 2 Kings 2:9

And so we come to the Gate Of Ephraim in Nehemiah 8:16 and we as children of the living God
and Jesus being the first born over all creation receive an inheritance Zechariah 9:12

And as we come to the end of our tour of the City Walls and as we walk the line of the walls
and survey its rebuilding and come to This is the Gate of Ephraim

Lastly - THE PRISON GATE - THE TWELTH GATE

And lastly we come to the "Prison Gate" in Nehemiah 12:39
and this draws us back to an earlier article which issssssssssssss HERE - THE PRISONERS

Being arrested by Jesus I am led to to and through the Prison Gate, being imprisoned in His
Will, Psalm 51:17, be it not my will But His Luke 22:42

Thus I can find myself uttering the Lords Prayer "Your Will be done"

I must remember as in the above post that I am being changed from glory to glory in my
evolutionary cycle, being made into the image of the "Manchild" yes the firstborn, The One
Who receives the inheritance and being in this family we too are heirs

We Remember Joseph in the book of Genesis and his journey along the walls from being imprisoned
to being made the governer and working alongside the very King who imprisoned him

We also remember John on the island of patmos in revelations, being a prisoner of the island yet higher and
far greater than that "a prisoner of God" being lifted up then to the point of the highest heavens to
receive revelation of what was to come

We remember Paul, not seeing himself as a prisoner of the state but rather a "Prisoner of Jesus
Christ" Ephesians 3:1

Being lifted up to receive revelations and great revelations from the Lord

And shall we go on ? again and again we could give more and more stories of those who
being prisoners of God and seemingly being "little" in the worlds eyes, being made and transformed
and changed to be at the "right hand of God" not just in the life to come but in reality

Ephesians 2:6 and so God raised them up and continues to do so

And so we come to the end of the Gates of the wall as we walked the line and viewed the
rebuilding of the walls

We copme to the end of the walk which goes on into eternity

This walk which leads us through so many "life gates" that we might be made more like Him

This being the twelfth Gate - the Prisoners Gate

Now remember although we may not yet have entered through all these life Gates yet still
the walls and the towers and the Gtaes are being built and although we are a new creation
we are also being made into the image of the Son

And so at this point we leave the tour of the City Walls and our entering of the Gates into the City
and we move onto the persecution from outside

.....................................................................

THE STRONG TOWER

These gates being between the towers like strength and a High Tower being towers from which
the army of God could lookout and defend, being a place like a watch tower Luke 14:28

This Tower being a "type" of vineyard Matthew 21:33 tower to overlook and to guard the
precious fruit

But what and whom do we defend and who may attack us and I ask the question,

"If God is for us who can be against us ?" Romans 8:31

That is not a statement...as if to say that "Nothing can be against us" rather it is saying that
although the world is against us.....Jesus has overcome the world

That scripture above is a question to answer with a question mark at the end

And so now we come to Nehemiah 4 and the persecution and ridicule as the rebuilding is
being looked upon by others who mocked at the foolish builders who were not really
builders at all, but rather working under The King of Kings each together as a family

And so we come to the opposition from outside and the attempt to stop the rebuilding of
our lifes

And so we have sanballat and tobiah who mocked the jews saying they were unable to
finish what they had begun and this takes us back to Matthew 7:24-27

Who knows who the Builder is ? is the building worked upon by God ? is the building under the headship of God ? who knows ? only by the fruit we shall know ! Matthew 7:16

That fruit that yields under the tower that is being built !

.....................................

Philippians 1:6 Yet we are comfident that He who began a good work will carry it through in
us as we work to rebuild as He rebuilds

And we know that many would seek to pull down the walls and that it is far easier to pull down
than to build up, but that which the Lord builds cannot be destroyed Psalm 127:1

Now at this point lets turn to scripture

Nehemiah 4:7But when Sanballat, Tobiah, the Arabs, the Ammonites and the men of Ashdod heard that the
repairs to Jerusalem’s walls had gone ahead and that the gaps were being closed, they were
very angry. 8They all plotted together to come and fight against Jerusalem and stir up trouble
against it. 9But we prayed to our God and posted a guard day and night to meet this threat.

Notice the way in which this attack is met Ephesians 6:12

17who were building the wall. Those who carried materials did their work with one hand and
held a weapon in the other, 18and each of the builders wore his sword at his side as he worked.

Hebrews 4:12 Psalm 45:3 Ephesians 6:17

Thus those who seemed so weak and feeble 2 Corinthians 12:10 were mocked in front of
and with the samarian army by Sanballat, as if the number of and the might of human numbers
and strength might make these groups of Gods people building the wall seem and feel even
smaller

And Tobiah also joined in mocking and jeering Luke 23:11

And so the people prayed

4 Hear us, our God, for we are despised. Turn their insults back on their own heads.

And the boomerang judgement is seen once more as the words are turned back upon the ones
who scorn not merely words but "action" resulting from the Judgement of God , yes even now
and now the "Now" word of God tripping up those who judge, not just in the life to come but
being in this life as a consequence

But God is the Master builder and when we are weak He is strong and when God builds the house
we do not labour in vain

Strength is not in numbers or power or appearance but In God alone

Thus I see that although a working of a person ...in a person may take many years, the person
also participarts in this as well and in the persons weakness being ordained and backed by God
with the Authority of God and His will, the person or persons grow

For I see that there is no growth in a person who sits and waits for God but rather the growth
comes when times are hard and having had our walls broken down we then need to rebuild our
lifes on the same foundation working together as families

And with this rebuilding the enemy will sneer and jeer but that the judgement of those will
boomerang and rebound and trip up those who in their own "Way of thinking) have an appearance
of Godliness 2 Timothy 3:5 this belief system being flawed becoming the very thing which is their
own downfall

But the Godly person builds and keeps building rock upon rock and stone upon stone and when
the hard time comes their house is not blown down

Now we turn to internal attack in our next study as we draw and conclude on this series of
Psalm 107

........................

TASK = Read Nehemiah 4

1. What weapons do I use ?

2. Which are for defense and which are attack ?

3. What position should I be in to watch for the enemy ?

4. Are the watchtower walls built by God alone or does He use me ?
