Psalm 107, Study 5, I Wish We'd All Been Ready,

Psalm 107, Study 5, I Wish We'd All Been Ready,

THE CALL

Jeremiah 33:7

I will bring Judah and Israel back from captivity and will rebuild them as they were
before.

This can be seen as being released from captivity, from the captivity of sin, satan and
the law

Jesus builds the Temple and restores the temple of the individual by the indwelling of
His Spirit, renewing, restoring, releasing, transforming.

1 Corinthians 6:19

Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom
you have received from God? You are not your own

Jesus also restores and renews the Church being the Head of the Church and the Chief
Cornerstone rising up to God

1 Peter 2:5

you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy
priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

The temple of the Lord is and was and will be built by Christ, as the chief master
builder,

She the Bride of Christ, needs building up, restoration is at hand,

..........................

We continue to look at Psalm 107 which is to do with the exile to babylon and the return
of Gods people to Himself

This is about the laying of the foundations of the temple after the first was destroyed

But I'm relating this to the Church, the restoration of, revival and the return of
Christ and also to the individual

Gill's Exposition

Psalm 126:4; for the return of the captivity seems to require it should: and may not
only literally respect the return of the captives in Babylon, but the conversion of
the Jews in the latter day, and their deliverance from their present captivity; which
is expressed sometimes by the Lord's bringing again Zion, and returning the captivity
of the Jews, and their being turned to the Lord

RESTORATION FROM CAPTIVITY

Once more in the latter days they shall return

Deuteronomy 30:3 then the LORD your God will restore your fortunes and have
compassion on you and gather you again from all the nations where he scattered you.

Psalm 126:1

A song of ascents. When the LORD brought back the captives to Zion,
we were like men who dreamed.

.............................................
"Wow its really happening as the Word said ? wow thats blown away my doubt !
Is it a dream ? are we finally going back home to our homeland ?

Woo I don't want to return Lord back to that earth that was so cold and full of hate, I
want to stay here with You"
...........................................

Job 42:10 After Job had prayed for his friends, the LORD made him prosperous
again and gave him twice as much as he had before.

Yes The Lord restored the captivity of Job, He can restore the captivity of a nation,

Yes pray for the nation you are in and prosper it and the Lord will prosper you Jeremiah 29:7

Submit to the governing authorities as you submit to God who is Lord over all Romans 13:5

Yes Job was taken captive and he prayed for his friends

In this the Lord turned Job to repentance

Yes we have the restoration of our lifes from captivity to freedom

And the Lord gave "DOUBLE BACK"

Woo after all had happened to Job it seemed as though his life was over

What was the reason for all this attack ? we shall never know, but we do know that Jobs life was restored

The rebuilding had begun in his life in spiritual places long before Job even realised what had come upon him, this was the laying of the foundations of a life, not based on what we can do but based on the Lords Grace and working in a life

The loss imposed was no loss compared to the surpassing riches that God would bestow on Job

Philippians 3:8

What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ

The laying of the foundations had begun and the Temple was restored and the walls rebuilt on Jobs Life

Now He could return to his home , no longer living by thew works of his hand or under the law, but being freely given that which he had inherited from God, being given by God.

THE SIGNS OF THE TIMES

What should we expect and look out for as the signs of the times ?

Wars and rumors of wars ?

Matthew 24:6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but
see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.

Well we have always had wars and rumours of wars throughout history, thisnis stating that we will
hear of wars and rumours of wars but to not be alarmed, as in : we have had wars for centuries
and we are not to be alarmed when these things happen as such things must happen.
But the end is still to come : as in "this is not the end yet"

For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom And the sun will no longer
shine

Yes Joel 3:15 The Glory of Christ's return may well be the Light that darkens or outshines the
brightness of the sun and moon and stars

Famines, Pestilence, Earthquakes

Matthew 24:7 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.
There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.

We know these things have happened from generations past and continue to happen,
These are the birth pains

9 “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will
be hated by all nations because of me.

Deceivers who claim to follow Jesus

Matthew 24:4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will
come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ

Increased wickedness & loss of love

Matthew 24:12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold,

Note it states "the love of most will grow cold"

The return of Gods people to their homeland, the restoration,

People of Israel return to their land

Ezekiel 37:21,22

21And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from
among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them
into their own land:

.....................

THE RANSOMED SHALL RETURN

Isaiah 51:11

The ransomed of the LORD will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting
joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and
sighing will flee away.

Gill's Exposition

Therefore the redeemed of the Lord shall return,.... Or "and", or "so" (q). In like
manner, and as sure as the Israelites had a way made for them through the sea to pass
over, so sure shall all those that are redeemed by the blood of Christ from sin, Satan,
the law, death, and hell, be gathered out of the nations of the world, and from the
antichristian states, and shall be converted and turn to the Lord. Or these words are
a continuation of the above prayer, as Jarchi, "let them return"; or rather are an
answer to it, and a promise that they should:

The restoration of the Jews, the restoration of the Church, the restoration of the Christian,

The revival of revivals,

Laying of the foundations of Christ and the teachings / lessons

The rebuilding of the Temple, the walls

Jeremiah 33:7

I will bring Judah and Israel back from captivity and will rebuild them as they were
before.

Revelation 21:4

He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or
crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."

This is the study "I wish we'd all been ready"
