Psalm 107:23-25,Study 13,Be Lifted Up

Psalm 107:23-25,Study 13,Be Lifted Up

THE MOSES (To draw out)

And so the wave which goes forth accross the land also draws back in

In Psalm 107:33 we see that God changes the rivers and springs into deserts and
thirsty lands

In the same way the people who adulterated with other gods were taken from a land of milk
and honey to a land of stone and wilderness

In the drawing of the same wave we see a reverse and that reverse can be seen as a two
way relational aspect of the people repenting and God relenting

And so in verse 34 He turns and changes to fruitful and those who bore fruit into the salty
wastelands (those loosing their savor)

But however we see the wave drawing back in as we go too verse 35 where God the desert
areas of the heart or people into pools of water and the dry land into springs

Some 3 waves took the people into exile with some 50,000 people being marched into captivity
and exile in this was the second "exodus to the promised land"

The first wave of the exiled to Babylon

Some years later some ten thousand were taken into exile

And then the final fall of Jerusalem came where the remaining were taken to the banks
of the River Chebar in Babylon , these exiled ones included Daniel of course and ezekiel
Ezekiel 1:1

And as wave upon wave of Gods voice spoke then the next generation and a new generation
came to be with repentant hearts and once again as the waves had drawn those who had rebelled against
the living God into exile so too the same waves brought them back to Jerusalem and spewed
the captives out back into Jerusalem

3 waves and wave upon wave, the first wave returned the first wave of people led by Zerubbabel,

The second returned more captives from the mouth of the "monster" ( Jonah 2:10) being
spewed out and back to dry land being led by Ezra this was some 80 years later

And the final wave being with Nehemiah

And the restoration begins ( the Moses )

Jeremiah 31:31-33

“Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with
the house of Israel and with the house of Judah— 32 not according to the covenant
that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them
out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to
them, says the Lord. 33 But this is the covenant that I will make with the house
of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My law in their minds, and
write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people

Yes This Jesus will raise up the temple

Zerubbabel and Sheshbazzar may well be the same person as the scripture declares in

Zechariah 4:9 "The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this temple; his hands
shall also finish it

This Zerubbabel and the meaning of the name being "The one sown of Babylon"
This seed being a type of Christ is the One called and so named Zerubbabel

The person of many names yet identified not just by the name but by Whom He is

This person brought into Gods land to rebuild the fallen temple burnt by fire

This person brought in by the first wave with the purpose of laying the foundations of
the Temple and then putting in the Capstone the Headstone

And who was and is and will be the Capstone of the building which was and is and will
be built up and restored , this house of living Stones being made into a Temple

Yes a living Temple and even a Living Temple to give glory and honour and praise to the one
who is at the head and supporting and giving strength to all who are weak

This Christ our great Zerubbabel has laid the foundation of his church and is and will rebuild
peoples lifes and they turn to Him and lift Him up so too He will lift them up

Ezra 5:16 Yes this Sheshbazzar ( Zerubbabel) came and laid the foundations of the house of
God in Jerusalem and From that day to the present it has been under construction but is not
yet finished.

John 2:20 The Jews replied, "It has taken forty-six years to build this temple,
and you are going to raise it in three days?"

Yet it will be completed as all those who are to be will come into the Kingdom and the time
comes for all things to be wrapped up and once more engulfed in flame the end shall
come and the glorious Church Micah 4:1

But until then the temple is being restored and built and the building of that temple will be
completed but only the Father know the time and day and hour

Zechariah 4:7

"What are you, O mighty mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become level ground. Then
he will bring out the capstone to shouts of 'God bless it! God bless it!'"

Luke 18:14 2 Samuel 22:28 Matthew 23:12 James 4:10 1 Peter 5:6 Proverbs 29:23

As Isaiah proclaims
Isaiah 40:4 Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill
made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain

Yes eveything and anything that raises itself above the sea will be made low and even those
mountains that try to overshadow the temple 2 Thessalonians 2:4

The Capstone will be over the mountian and the moutnain will be made low before
The Capstone who is Christ

And even more the monster that raises its head above the sea's shall be made low

2 Corinthians 10:5 Indeed every though that opposes or seeks to lower the Capstone in our
lifes and in our hearts will be made low as we take those things captive to the Capstone

And he shall bring forth the headstone - The foundation of the temple had long been laid.

These same hands that had created and laid the foundations of the earth is the Capstone

Isaiah 28:16 Luke 20:17 Romans 9:33 1 Corinthians 3:11 Ephesians 2:20 Genesis 49:24

Yes this Capstone and this Cornerstone the strength to the weak will lay low everything that
prides itself above

He is the one who lowers the mountains and exalts the humble and levels the paths

He is the seed that fell on the heart that springs into life and rebuilds the fallen temple
of our lifes, that we should and shall worship Him

God took the outcasts, the despised, those of the four types of people and those in distress and
those in prison, those who were in darkness wandering through the valley of the shadow of death
and those on the sea and in the storm as if they are the same and began a new thing

And after being releases from that prison of despair, that darkness, that place of bondage, Jesus
said "peace be still" and the captives were released

Now a new life had begun and they were no longer the same but and again but a new life
had begun where God had begun a work within and confidence abounds for we know that He
who began a good work in us will carry it through to completion

In us and through us the Temple building has begun and the rebuilding of lifes and hearts that
had fallen once more and again once fallen are being rebuilt as living stones

Yes the Living stones being rejected are being made strong and a building that cannot fall down
for the building has its strength in the capstone which can never be pulled down nor overshadowed

Ezra 1 Now the foundations were laid and the temple was being rebuilt and all the people worked together
as The Lord build the temple and even rebuild the Temple

And the former things were no more and behold He does a new thing that the heart has never
pondered nor man imagined Ezra 3:10-13

Now with Gods working the enemy attack begins from those quarters nearby, the samaritans came
to frustrate the rebuilding of and whenever God does a work the enemy will not be far behind Ezra 4

But once God begins a work we can be confident that He will finish it, for why would He build
the foundation that is secure without counting the cost of the construction ?

That cost was already paid for in the death and resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ who
laid down His life that the foundation of our faith might be in Him

A foundation that cannot be touched or taken away, in that no man or living being can
stop the resurrected Saviour who has already risen from doing that which He has setout to do
in peoples lifes

John 2:21 And this temple that was destroyed being risen is glorified

And He who is glorified Philippians 3:21 will glorify, so we shall be like Him

And those who were weak are strong and those wanderers, prisoners, the distressed and the
storm tossed glorify Him for their bodies are no longer theirs 1 Corinthians 15:43 but His having
been bought with a price 1 Corinthians 6:20

1 Corinthians 3:16 We being temples of the Holy Spirit are knitted together as woven and sown

Like branches upon the vine, like fruit upon the branches,
like muscles and sinews in the body working together for a
purpose, like living organisms growing and developing,

Being a Habitation for God, being a tabernacle and dwelling place for God, being the Living
Church as He moves and walks and has His way amongst us

Ephesians 2:21

In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord.

Questions arising from this study

1. How can I compare the temple rebuilding in Ezra, to my life and the rebuilding of my relations ?

2. How must I work on the Temple or does God do it ?

3. When will the completion of the temple finish ? and what treasures does it have ?
