Psalm One Hundred And Two

Raiment Of God
Raiment Of God (Photo credit: Mike_tn)

Now this is something we do not often talk about is'nt it ?

But as we come to Psalm 102 we look at Suffering

Philippians 3:10 Romans 8:17

Now if we are children, then we are heirs--heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

Lets begin with Psalm 102:1-2

This is an Anonymous Author

"Lord Hear my prayer and listen to my plea"

This person was not saying that God does not listen, as if God only listenss to certain prayers !

God hears and listens to every prayer, word spoken, thought, motive and intention whether
the people are Christians or not

God had known of the situation long before the prayer words were ever spoken

But we ask the question "Why does'nt God always answer straight away ? "

"Why did God allow this to happen to MEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"

(Small case...whispers in case someone hears him) "yes to someone else but not to me Lord - as
long as it does'nt affect me"

And we remember the heart prayers before we who are Christians now must have prayed to God,
even though at the time we never realised they were prayers

"Deliver me God, heelllpp meeee, free meeeeeee, I want to breakkkk freeeeee,"

As we ran from one thing to another while the chains held us down

And while we were slaves to the world God delivered us into the glorious "Freedom" of His
Kingdom Exodus 2:23 re:
23 During that long period, the king of Egypt died. The Israelites groaned in their slavery and cried out, and their cry for help because of their slavery went up to God.

The Author pleads for God not to turn away from Him in his distress in verse 2

And at this time and at this point even though God is always around and God is everywhere
(watching all that breathe) it can seem as if we are abandoned , much like Peter walking on that great wave
and seeing only the wave

But God hears our cries and God never abandons us 1 Samuel 9:16 Psalm 69:17

Sometimes Father God is waiting for precisely the right time when all things come together

For everything there is a time and a season Ecclesiastes 3:1

Sometimes good seeds spring up from a heart

Sometimes seeds of doubt or fear or seeds that are not planted by God spring up

Thye may lay dormant for many years but given the right enviroment and conditions they germinate and can take hold of a heart of life

These seeds or thoughts of the heart can take over and cripple or disable us

Matthew 15:11

This is when we can take hold of the Word Of God and terminate those things

And at the precise time God can change a situation that has developed and sprouted up in the same way

Not because He is slow or that He is unable, but because to everything there is a time and season

Jesus was crucified at the exact precise other time would have been the right time

You and I were born at the precise time , we were reborn at the correct time in line with Gods purposes and we shall be raised up in our new bodies at the precise correct time in line with Gods purposes and will

1 Corinthians 15:35-44

35 But someone will ask, “How are the dead raised? With what kind of body will they come?” 36 How foolish! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies. 37 When you sow, you do not plant the body that will be, but just a seed, perhaps of wheat or of something else. 38 But God gives it a body as he has determined, and to each kind of seed he gives its own body. 39 Not all flesh is the same: People have one kind of flesh, animals have another, birds another and fish another. 40 There are also heavenly bodies and there are earthly bodies; but the splendor of the heavenly bodies is one kind, and the splendor of the earthly bodies is another. 41 The sun has one kind of splendor, the moon another and the stars another; and star differs from star in splendor.

42 So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; 43 it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; 44 it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.

If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.

Amen...oftentimes God knows us better than we know ourselves

Isaiah 53:2 He grew up before him like a tender shoot,

Often times things can be deep down within us and I may think I know me

When suddenly something happens and I say "What made me say that ?...where did that come from ?...why did I do that ?"

Have you ever said or typed out something and your not quite sure where the words came from ?

You know as A Christian that can happens quite a lot and that is the seed within you

Those words you type can change a life, because its the "Lifegiver" speaking

At times though it may be the opposite and things lurking deep down within the soil of the heart can sprout up gievn the correct situations and circumstances and we say " I never thought that would happen to me ? ....I never thought I could do soemthing like that ? "

This is why Jesus/ God knows us better than we know ourselves, because only He can see what even we cannot ourselves

Only He can see that root...only He can see that seed, Only He knows [/b]

Sunday 18/09/11 - The Church message was on Acts 17:22-27
Acts 17:26 NLV He made from one blood all nations who live on the earth. He set the times and places where they should live.

Acts 17:26 NIV and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands

And for everything there is a season and a time as we observe through nature how to everything is given a season and a time

We have an appointed time in history in which to live, this is the correct time, the perfect time,

Even to the point of where we live and where we were brought up and raised

We do not just happen to be here

We have a purpose, a meaning, a reason

Job 2:7 So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD and afflicted Job with painful sores
from the soles of his feet to the top of his head.

And we ask the question, "Does satan always need permission from God ?"

You know Im really not sure if he does, we must remember that he is the father of lies and
the deceiver of deceivers, his destiny can only be destuction , as he is out to destroy the very
things that God has created

Im not sure if he does always ask for permission in everything, in the same way as he has free
will (within guidelines)

What do I mean ? well , if satan is going to attack a person of God , then he would have to have
permission as he is not only affecting the course and path of that persons walk with God but affecting
everyone else around, re: families, relatives, dependants.

Actually although God focusses on Job here we must remember that indeed many lifes were affected
and many lost their lifes

You might say "satan could change history" or "His Story

If every day we walk is written within His book then this move of satans would already be known
of within the limitations of "free will"

As free will is limited to the refines of what the individual is capable of

This anomynous author in Psalm 102 is describing how he feels as his body is in agony

And we look at this point too Job 30:30

And we realise that our lifes here on this earth is short , as is satans

And we realise that we are in a battle, even though the battle was won and is being won

James 4:14

We know that this is a spiritual battle and we do not fight against flesh and blood

And the spiritual can affect the physical realm Lamentations 4:8 Psalm 77:4

BUT now we come too Psalm 102 verse 11

"But You O Lord will sit on the Throne forever"

Exodus 3:15 Lamentations 5:19 Isaiah 50:10

As scripture declares in Isaiah 9:2 The people walking in darkness have seen
a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned.

You see in Exodus... the Gods chosen people marched out of the oppressive nation

They walked into freedom, finally the Light at the end of the tunnel

Now they were free and free indeed , now God was on the Throne, on the Throne of their
hearts, on the Throne of their thoughts, on the Throne of their lifes, on the Throne of their
way of living, yes just like me and you, walking into a new life a Christian

And even though time is short, this is only the testing ground for the life that is
to come

BUT WAIT, what happened ? why those forty years ? why was God angry with His chosen ones ?

Zechariah 1:12

Then the angel of the LORD said, "LORD Almighty, how long will you withhold mercy from
Jerusalem and from the towns of Judah, which you have been angry with these seventy

God loved them, yet angered, yet merciful, yet they were saved, yet they wandered

Yet persecuted, yet Gods
