Matthew 6:34 (New International Version)

34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Psalms 73, 74 and 75

Before the foundations of the earth God had planned our days before any of them ever came to be,
raising us up with Himself to sit at His right Hand in Jesus

Establishing our foundation upon a Rock and giving us hinds feet to leap and jump upon the Rock of
our Salvation

Raising us up from the miry clay and seating us in heavenly places in Him and with Him

That he who was thrown down from the heavens who was satan could be defeated by those who were
raised up in Christ

As the fall of man was known, so God in His unknown and unfathomable wisdom knowing all things
and being in all places at once raised up the fallen ones that He loved to be seated with Himself so that
satan and his demons could no longer have rule and reign in Gods chosen children

But that being raised up in Him God chosen ones could rule and reign in Christ and enter into the Holy
Of Holies

God having defeated the enemy through the Cross

We are no longer slaves to the world and slaves to sin but we are free in Christ being servants of the
Most High and giving the rule and reign to God

God having prepared our days in advance and prepared His plans for our lifes lets us walk to and fro
within His Kingdom

Kingdom hearts although prepared are being prepared and will continue to be prepared for as long
as we live in this body that is flesh

And so God had prepared and planned before we ever came to be

New Creations and preparations

Before we knew Him and knew of Him He was preparing us

Calling us by His Holy Spirit and speaking into our hearts long before we ever realised or recognised
His voice

This part of our life and journey was preparation for what was to come and in the knowledge that
we indeed would be called "Sons and daughters of God"

In His new Creation God shines His light upon a new day and says "LET THERE BE LIGHT"

He begins His work in us ( as new Christians)

When God creates and renews and restores He does so through the inside out

Sometimes this work "from the inside out" can be painful

This inward working of the Holy Spirit is an ongoing process as we walk in Him day by day

When we look at Gods Word we see many examples of Gods preparation and His preparing His
people for what is about to happen and for what is to come

We see the preparation in the life of Moses and David to mention but two examples

In Davids life we see that firstly God had prepared in advance and written the days of Davids life

We see that Davids preparation began before he was born and as God knit him together in his
mothers womb , God looked upon him , knowing his human form and his frailties

David preparation continued as he grew up and we know that David was tending sheep at the time of
his calling

But even after the future of David wa sknown the preparation still continued through his life journey
and this in turn prepared David for then life to come

Some might look at Moses life and see it as a waste, what a waste to live 40 years growing up in the
land of the sea monsters ?

What a waste to spend another 40 years tending sheep in the wilderness ?

What a waste to spend yet another 40 years travelling through the wilderness as a then leader, only
to die and never see the promised land ? ( Not the physial promised land )

Some might see this as a complete waste of a life ? why not make money ? why not put your hands
too more profitable things ? Why not put your heart too things that might benefit your family or your
friends or even take care of yourself ? why give up your life and loose it order to take a bunch of
people on a journey ?

Why loose your life Moses? why leave your family behind and seek to listen to God and follow a pillar
of fire and smoke ?

How crazy is that ?

How strange and foolish for David to tend sheep in preparation for a calling of Kingship ?

Look at all the other brothers of David ! soo strong and mighty and good looking and ready to lead a
people ?

And yet God calls "David" out from his job as a shepherd and calls him before Samuel to be the
"Chosen one"

But in Gods eyes David is the one who has been prepared, in Gods eyes this is a mighty man

While the world looks at the external , God looks beyond the seen and see's the unseen

Davids life was not a waste neither was the life of Moses

Far from it , in fact what greater thing but to be doing that which God has prepared for us ?

Far better to be a doorkeeper in the house of God than to be elsewhere !

Far better to live a life that in the "worlds eyes " is a waste, than too live a life where our hands and
hearts are polluted ! and where our lifes can become like pyramids in the sands of time, looking great
on the outside but inwardly as hard as rock and empty

The earth is scattered with the tombs of Kings once famous and rich yet empty and nothing

This is the upside down Kingdom, where those who are seen as poor are rich in God

The man who has not lifted his hands too an idol is indeed a man who has been tested and tried

Far better to be tested and tried than to have a life of waste in the good things of life only to come
to nothing,

Mark 8:36 This is the heart of the gospel loose your life in order to find it , what greater life and purpose than to serve a living God ? and do what He wants ?

In fact you can see the lifes of Gods people as a continious preparation for the life to come, as were
the lifes of David and all the men of God mentioned in the bible

They were all being prepared for the life to come and this life here upon earth was and is a training
ground for the future life

And so as saints of God we march forward in faith ? , knowing there is a hope, a meaning , a purpose ?

But sometimes we can (lets be honest) think "Why am I here ? what on earth is the plan here ?"

Sometimes we might think "what a waste ...I spent all those years doing such and such and its come
to nothing "

We might look at others and think "Its not fair, they go against everything I believe in and THEY ARE
HORRIBLEEEEEEE, and yet they seem to prosperrrr, its like the enemy is looking after them ...its
like ....WHYYYYY"

And we know that God walks ahead of us and that He has planned each day before one of them ever
came to be ?

And so we march on in faith never doubting for one moment .....don't we ?

We know that God is with us and that He will never leave us and yet deep down we have this thing
within us that seems to go to war against our very existence

When troubles come and the sea roars and "We did nothing to deserve this "

When the "Sea Monsters" raise their heads and roar at us , we might become dissulusioned ?

It seems to be sometimes like a kind of self defense mechanism where we have a problem coming up
ahead of us and we stsrat to think " What if this happens and what if that happens and what should I
do if such and such happens "its like we pre plan our motives and movements before they happen

We prepare ourselves "Justttttt in case of the event"

Even when "All is wellll with the world" we might think "what if I loose my job ? "

And we plan what we might do in that event, "what cushions would we put in place ? "

It might be an exam or a job interview, it might be a driving test

Sometimes it might be something that happened to us in the past and we start to go through in
our minds what we would do "If it happened again "

Its like we are walking ahead of ourselves instead of God , as if God might not have the power and
capacity to take it all Himself so we have to help Him along, or maybe we believe God can do it, but we
need to know how we might go along with God

So we preplan to the extent where we might allow doubts and uncertaintities to creep in !

We entertain these thoughts of "WHAT MIGHT HAPPEN" justtttt to have it all figured out before hand

We entertain these thoughts "sometimes " and allow doubts and uncertaintities and even fears to creep

And that fear or "sea monster" is allowed to grow and grow, bigger and bigger, a bit like a mustard see
d !

And then one day Gods tramples down that monster and kind of "treads on it"

God says "I am with you, I walk ahead of you, I know your days, trust in me, I know your humanity,
trust in me, I know your ways, trust in me"

BUT we say , "Lord I know that at times you might allow things to happen to me, things that I DON'T

And He might answer " These things are shaping you and moulding you and these things can be
painful but they are preparing you for the life ahead and the life to come, this road is not an easy
road and this way is not an easy way, if it were many would walk the broad road too me and find me.

But this road is being marked inside of you, not and external thing, but a mark inside your that at times
is painful and is not easy, but I am with you

The roads is narrow to my heart and many do not follow this path, yes go ahead of yourself and plan
what might happen, but do this in the knowledge that I am there also with you

Do not say "shall I do this or that ...just in case, do not let fears and uncertaintities become the sea
monsters of your life and allow these things to rule over you, because I am God and you must allow me
to rule and to reign over you"

Plan ahead , but plan with me by your side, see me there with you and do not allow the fears to creep
in the the sea monster to takwe control of your future" I am God and there is no other beside me "

Sea Monsters And Saints

What is this sea monster you keep on about ? Does'nt mention it in the bible mate !

Sea monsters don't exist DOOO THEYYYY and the levithiam don't existtttttt anymoreeeee

We know about dinosaurs and they are extinst whats all this Sea Monster bussiness ? mmmm

Well the giants do exist as we have already seen , those giants in our lifes that raise their heads and
seek to rule and reign and takem over and take control

Now lets look at Psalms 73,74 and 75

These Psalms were composed by a man called Asaph, Asaph was very close to David and Asaph followed David closely through the years

Asaph was Davids musical director and composed the music to Davids Psalms, he was a Priest of the tribe
of Levi

Asaph was a man who saw the wicked prosper while the Godly seemed to go from one trial to another,
he watched David and observed how David went from being chased to having his Kingdom almost taken away

He watched as he saw David fall and rise and he watched as he saw the injustcie in the land

He saw men who sought power and fame become great and mighty, he watched as the poor and needy suffered.

Asaph was bitter over the death of his brother and struggled with the giants of life

Have you ever been disillusioned with people? Have you ever been disillusioned with life ?

Have you ever wondered why the wicked and the arrogant seem to prosper ?

Have you ever looked at the great men of the bible and wondered " why is'nt my life like that ?

You see all the great men and women of the bible were flesh and blood like us, they had the Same Holy
Spirit that is available to us

The Holy Spirit simply draws out those parts of a persons life that glorify God or give a lesson for us
to learn from, the Holy Spirit merely looks at portions of a persons life and draws examples and pictures
for us to see

These men and women had bad days, they had days when they had stomach ache, they had days when they
wanted to give up, they had days when life seemed hopeless, they had days when the giants would rais etheir
heads , those Sea monsters from the deep

Fears, anxieteies, worries, problems would seek to destroy and overcome and rule

And so Asaph writes this Psalm

Book three Psalm 73

A psalm of Asaph.

1Surely God is good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart.
2 But as for me, my feet had almost slipped; I had nearly lost my foothold.

3 For I envied the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
4 They have no struggles, their bodies are healthy and strong. 5 They are free from the burdens common to man; they are not plagued by human ills.
6 Therefore pride is their necklace; they clothe themselves with violence.

7 From their callous hearts comes iniquity, the evil conceits of their minds know no limits.
8 They scoff, and speak with malice; in their arrogance they threaten oppression.

9 Their mouths lay claim to heaven, and their tongues take possession of the earth.
10 Therefore their people turn to them and drink up waters in abundance. 11 They say, "How can God know? Does the Most High have knowledge?"
12 This is what the wicked are like—always carefree, they increase in wealth.

13 Surely in vain have I kept my heart pure; in vain have I washed my hands in innocence.
14 All day long I have been plagued; I have been punished every morning.

15 If I had said, "I will speak thus," I would have betrayed your children.
16 When I tried to understand all this, it was oppressive to me

Now Asaph changes

17 till I entered the sanctuary of God; then I understood their final destiny

23 Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand.

24 You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me into glory.

25 Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you.

Here we have the man Asaph, a priest unto God, full of troubles, Uncertainties, hesitations, fears, worries, doubts and anxieties.

He is troubled by what he see's and is in turmoil about his walk with his God, the sea monsters start to
take control of him as he see's the wicked and those oppressors and arrogant men prosper in the land,
while the Godly and God fearing seem to be cast down

THEN He see's as he enters the sanctuary of God and God give shim revelation, for even though these
men who are rulers of powwer and fame , these men who seek money instead of God, these men who despise a pure heart.

these men who see nothing in seeing others suffer, these men who drag others down for their own advantage, Asaph see's that although they may well prosper in this short life they will come to an end

God shows him what will become of them and God shows Asaph what becomes of the Godly

For material and short term benefits are like dust but long term life for God and His Kingdomn is like
gold dust

God showed Asaph a revelation of what was to come and Asaph finally see'sthe real picture

Now lets go too the Psalm of the sea Monsters ( some translations say "dragons" or "serpents"

Psalm 74 (English Standard Version)

12Yet God my King is from of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth.
13You divided the sea by your might; you broke the heads of the sea monsters on the waters.
14You crushed the heads of Leviathan;

You will find the cross reference here as Exodus 14:21 where Moses raises his hand over the sea and
the sea parts and we know the story where the mighty army of pharoah are drowned as the sea comes back onto the enemy and they are drowned

This mighty oppressor the Pharoah King of Egypt, ther one who sought too take control and sought power and wealth above all else

This mighty sea monster who sought to become King over Gods people and sought to put fear and
doubt into the minds of Gods people, who oppressed and put into slavery , who chased Gods people

Who seemed to prosper for a short time and yet the mighty Egypt came to nothing

This might empire of rule, this mighty army of power, was swallowed up in the sea,

We can also refer to Ezekiel 32, here again we see the sea monster mentioned

A Lament for Pharaoh
1 In the twelfth year, in the twelfth month on the first day, the word of the LORD came to me:
2 "Son of man, take up a lament concerning Pharaoh king of Egypt and say to him:

" 'You are like a lion among the nations; you are like a monster in the seas
thrashing about in your streams, churning the water with your feet
and muddying the streams.

This is Egypt , the oppressive nation, the nation that was to be no more

The sea monster of today and now , that raises it head above God can be anything that seeks to take
the place of God in our lifes, that seeks to take control and to rule and reign over God in our lifes.

That sea monster , that Leviathan ( giant) can be a doubt, fear, anxiety, worry, oppression, disillusionment or hopelessness or any other thing that might raise its head and take us off course

That sea monster might be the one who wants you to think that your life is a waste of time, that your
preparation is really not worth the wait. that somehow God made a mistake,

The Holy Of Holies

Matthew 6:34

Everyday we face this monster who is nothing compared to God, but in our eyes at the time this
Leviathan, this giant , this sea monster, this wave, can seem so big to us

The anxiety, the fear, the worry, the problem, the Uncertainties, hesitations, doubts, all come
tumbling in

And the enemy can feed on this and multiply the problem in our minds like a mustard seed

But we as Saints can enter into the Holy Of Holies , we can be raised up from the situation

We can like Asaph come to a revelation as we enter into the courts of the King and we can see things
as they really are

Its one thing to know in theory, but quite another to know in practice

Its one thing to know the word of God in our minds , quite another to know in our hearts

Sometimes I need and we need to Unlearn, before we can start to learn

When those fears and apprehensions come racing in , when we are faced with a problem and we start
to go ahead of ourselves , remember Jesus is already there

Enter into the Holy of Holies and talk to God, see Him with you as you go through all the "What if
this happens and what if that happens"

See Him with you as you look upon others who seem to prosper while you do not Take the fears as Asaph did into the Holy Of Holies, because we are Preists of the King and we
can enter into that Holy place, See the Sea Monster come to nothing as the sands of time and the winds of change blow over the pyramids of those things that seek to rule and reign and take the place of our God in our hearts

Let God be the King of the problems and watch as the rulers and powers that display such rule
come to nothing and be drowned in the sea of time

As we march on into the promised land

Next time you have a "what if and what happens" moment....let God enter into the conversation,
and let Him remove the pyramid of doubt and fear and let God take you through

Remember 99 per cent of all our fears never happen

He has prepared and He will do it

Lord God I and we give you are doubts and fears and axieties and stress, our problems, our fears,
we declare today that we shall not try to walk ahead of oursleves in our own strength trying to declare what the future might hold in our minds and hearts, But that we might see you ahead of us
as you have prepared the way, John 1:23 , you make the paths straight for us, it is you who level the ways and pull down those monsters and raise up the valleys, and make level paths for us to walk on

You prepare the way ahead of us and only you can know or see into the future

We simply take one step at a time, one day at a time

In Jesus name amen
