THE HIDDEN THINGS OF THE HEART, Psalm 104 - Part 5

THE HIDDEN THINGS OF THE HEART

Matthew 13:44

"The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.

The past few days have been struggling (as usual) in prayer , well more like wrestling..

In the past , I can remember times when things have been brought to my attention and Ive had to do a lot of digging

Well its seems at times when this digging takes place, often and more than often many things get brought to the surface, things that I may not like and things that seem so simple I wonder how they were missed

After some time, even years many things get dug up

And I realise that some of these things are "cover ups"

They are hidden things from the past that Ive told myself, they might be hidden excuses or reasons for doing things

Anmd slowly but surely after struggling and wrestling and seeking and waiting and "working" on it..

Eventually I find the treasure, I find the answer...

Under all those reasons and excuses and hidden things ...

Suddenly I think Ive found the answer to the problem when after praying about it I realise that it was merely a "cover up" it was something I might have convinced myself about many years before

Its not really the answer ,to the habit or problem in my life that the Holy Spirit has shown me , but really just another excuse or lie, hiding the real truth

And then eventually I might get to the bottom of it and finally find the hidden treasure....BUT the answer may not always be the "answer" !!

Once the answer is found it does,nt really answer the question

I might have a habit that the Holy Spirit has shown me and that needs to be dealt with and after many years I finally find the answer, the "Key"

But knowing the answer does not solve the problem, it merely poiints to the problem

so what am I going on about ?

...........................

Well the last few days Ive been struggling again over a particular thing that has been broguht to my attention by God and that I need to deal with and again I started digging to find the answer

And during this time, many things are brought up to the surface , that I find are merely those hidden things of the heart and Ive covered over the real answer and problem over the years with a multitude of things to hide the truth from myself

And during these times of struggle in prayer and seeking its almost like eventually the mind and the body and the person I am shouts "I GIVE UPPPPPPP" ok I submit

...............

Well I found the answer you know and I know that I have to keep nagging and nagging and nagging God until He says "OKAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY"

Luke 18:1-8

1 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. 2 He said: “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared what people thought. 3 And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’

4 “For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care what people think, 5 yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually come and attack me!’”

Matthew 21:12

Jesus entered the temple area and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves

And so I just felt I had to share that with you

You know praying through the same thing over and over and over and over again brings up all those old long forgotten things that were buried over many years until at last the treasure is found....or should I say "The Answer"

But the answer does not solve the problem

It is true that Jesus is the answer and only He can give or fill and answer

Only He can turn those tables over and trade in that answer and turn it around

Only He can trade in my sin for beauty

the beauty of He

Only He can show me something deep within and bring it to the surface and give the answer so that the answer might result in a solution

To turn ashes to beauty and mourning to Joy

This is the power of the Cross

Revelation 22:2

It flowed down the center of the main street. On each side of the river grew a tree of life,
bearing twelve crops of fruit, with a fresh crop each month. The leaves were used for medicine
to heal the nations.

..........................

I would suggets that there were two pathways in Eden

As there are for all peoples

As there were two trees of many, that symbolised life or death

As there had been on the Cross either side

And as you narrow down many pathways in life ultimately they all lead to two

As Adam and Eve were on a pathway of disobedience Jesus had to walk to them and say

"What have you done ? "

Not so much that Jesus did not know "What they had done"

But He wanted them to tell Him, as He does now in my life, so that I might repent and
turn back to Him

And so I might take of that disobedience in my life and walk away even today, but I might repent
and turn back

Having taken of the bad fruit today, I turn back to Jesus "The Tree Of Life"

And take of His Fruit

He ....The One, Who hung on the Tree that I might be healed and filled with Joy

...........................

Acts 3:8

He jumped to his feet and began to walk. Then he went with them into the temple
courts, walking and jumping, and praising God

I AM A NEW CREATION

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

He makes my path straight, and lowers the mountains and levels the valleys

He sets me apart as He has set me apart

(qodesh) is translated sanctify, consecrate, dedicate, and holy.

He has and is and will renew my mind that I might see things in a New Light

2 Corinthians 5:16

So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we
once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer.

I have circumcision of the heart as Jesus has and is and will cut away all things in my life and
heart that affect my relationship with Him

Galatians 6:15

Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is a new creation.

So that in this communion and circumcision I will not "fall away" being mislead or shipwrecked,
being deceived or brought down by the cunningness of men

Romans 8:39

neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the
love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

Romans 6:4

We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was
raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

Romans 2:29

No, a man is a Jew if he is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit,
not by the written code. Such a man's praise is not from men, but from God.

Created, recreated, born again and created again

And so I see that there are everchanging states of life from the original creation to recreation
of the existing form even though each one is unique

I see that being created from my mothers womb I am recreated in likeness

Born again by the Spirit of God at a point in life I am born again only to finish life in this body to
be created again a new body

And that in that new body I will be in the new creation, on the new earth

And this takes us too
Psalm 104:29-30

When you hide your face, they are dismayed; when you take away their breath, they die
and return to their dust. When you send forth your spirit, they are created; and you renew
the face of the ground.

His breath breathes upon the face of the earth and renews and sustains all things and without
Him nothing that exists would exist or continue to exist and all would be utter darkness and void

Even the devil himself and the dark forces surrounding him would cease to be

And all the beams and structures put into place at the beginning would dissolve into nothingness

Job 1:21,Psalm 104:29-30 NASB

He said Naked I came from my mothers womb And naked I shall return there The LORD gave and the
LORD has taken away Blessed be the name of the Lord

Even the whole and entirety of creation is groaning under the curse since the dawning of time
waiting Romans 8:22

Hiding under the soot of sin and the curse of the ground, creation awaits salvation, it awaits the
manifestation of the sons of God Romans 8:20-22

I see that I am the "Lazurus" of the ground

Isaiah 24:3-5

"The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof"

We are affecting the creation around us

Romans 8:21

that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious
freedom of the children of God.

Psalm 96:9-13

And I see that all things revolve around each other and each affects the next

thus I must be aware that my words, my actions, even my thoughts affect those around me

As does sin and the affects of it

So is the way that God created all things

Job 37:5-6
“God's voice thunders in marvellous ways; he does great things beyond our understanding. He says to the snow, 'Fall on the earth,' and to the rain shower, 'Be a mighty downpour.”

Matthew 13:44

"The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.

so what things might I bury in my field . that I believe are hidden ?
