The Lords Will,Psalm 106 - Study 16

The Lords Will,Psalm 106 - Study 16

God having heard the groans and cries of the hebrew people saved them and brought them
out of their slavery - yet having their own will "overruled" they soon forgot the miracles God
had done and relied instead on the temporal and their own strength

When we are tempted to the temporal things remember
Matthew 4:4

Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes
from the mouth of God.'"

The people looked back and remembered the "good things " of Egypt

They remembered the "temporal things"

Psalm 106:13

But they soon forgot what he had done and did not wait for his counsel.

But they also forgot that "things would never be the same again"

If they had gone back then , they would simply go back to "memories"

Gone were the armies of Egypt and the pharoah,

Things would never quite be the same again

I remember at one point when I had a motorbike going back to the old places where I was
raised as a child

But things were not the same !

What I remembered and what I saw in front of me were two different things

Everything seemed so different to my memories

And God would want that I move on and follow Him not looking back but moving on with Him
towards the goal

Philippians 3:14

I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

No doubt the people following God had a reltionship with God

No doubt the people following God believed in God

No doubt the people following God had faith in God

Refer to - In The Heart Of Repentance, - Psalm 104, Study 18

No doubt they spoke to Moses who was "The Mediator"

Hebrews 12:24

1 Timothy 2:5

5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

But was this enough ? I look to the lessons in exodus and numbers and I see that the people did not enter the promised Land, but however the next generation did

It is Gods Will that I enter His rest and give ALL to Him

Psalm 24:6

Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, O God of Jacob. Selah

Gill's Exposition

This is the generation of them that seek him,.... The persons above described are such, who in every age are the generation of the children of God, and are accounted by him for a generation; they are such that seek him, in the first place, with their whole hearts, and in Christ, where they find him;

It is Gods Will that I seek His face and depend on Him

For my dependency should not rely on the temporal but the eternal

My security should not be in the temporal but the eternal

In this I should lay down such things, if they are not already crucified

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live

Gods Will leads me to eternity and not to the temporal

Revelation 19:3 "And her smoke rose up for ever and ever."

There are many scriptures relating to eternal hell ( abaddon )

Hell being the place prepared for the devil and his angels

The devil being lucifer who was cast down from heaven along with
a third of heavens angelic beings

Hell was prepared for these eternal beings and along with those
as mentioned in

Matthew 25:46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment,
but the righteous to eternal life.”

"They" being those who have died but are yet to face the second death

Matthew 10:28

"Do not fear those who can kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather be afraid of the One
who can destroy both soul and body in hell."

So we see that there is the death of the body, the judgement ,

Now theres lots of debate about this, but lets look at some Greek

"forever and ever" this is "eternity" its the same greek word used in

Revelation 5:13 and 1 Timothy 1:17
referring to heaven

It is also found in Revelation 19:3 and Revelation 20:10 referring to hell

Eternity being a "state" as in God being eternal , that is from everlasting to everlasting

God is eternal without beginning or end and without God there would be "no eternity"

For God is "eternity"

Once a person departs from this world they can be said to be in "waiting" that is there
body and soul are to be "judged"

1 Corinthians 15:54

When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality,
then the saying that is written will come true: "Death has been swallowed up in victory."

So everyone will see God, but not all shall remain with God

Everyone will see that "Light" that is the Light in Genesis 1

IN THE HEART OF THE DAY - - Psalm 104 - Study 15

But not everyone will remain with the "Light"

And that Light is the Light that shone out in the darkness
John 1:5

The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.

That same Light shall shine throughout eternity as God will be The Light to all
on the "New Earth"

So we ascertain that "immortal" is an "immortal body" and "eternal" is a "state"

As we cannot have an "immortal" place, as only the "mortal" can be clothed with "immortality"

As in: "The immortal are in an eternal place or state"

Eternal being with no beginning or end

Now I'm going to chuck in a few "provocative" scriptures

Daniel 7:13

In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with
the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence.

The Ancient "Of Days" thus being in eternity within "days"

The Big Bang With A Big God - Psalm 104 - Study 13

Hebrews 7:3

Without father or mother, without genealogy, without beginning of days or end of life, like the
Son of God he remains a priest forever.

This is eternity, who is God , who has always been and will always be

Well I'm yet to come to a conclusion about eternal hell

We know that eternal is the same greek word used relating to "forever and ever"

But hell ?

'Gehenna' the rubbish tip

'Gehenna' or 'The valley of the son of Hinnom' which is what the Greek word means, was the
rubbish tip outside of Jerusalem in the time of Jesus which was also used to burn the bodies
of criminals who had suffered capital punishment. Most of the occurrences of the word 'hell'
in the New Testament refer to this 'place of burning' outside of Jerusalem.

"If I ascend up into heaven, You are there; if I make my BED IN HELL behold,
You are there." Psalm 139:8

Whatever the case hell is a place created and with a beginning

Created by God to last forever and ever

This was created for the devil and his angels who are also eternal and cannot die

So we also have a place Aión - Aiónios

What ever : hell has a beginning yet no end and can be said to be "eternal"

Yet if immortal bodies were to be sent there then

Matthew 10:28

"Do not fear those who can kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather be afraid of the One
who can destroy both soul and body in hell."

this cannot be an immortal state as "destroy both soul and body in hell."

hence and thus : "Body and soul perish"

There are many arguments concerning the mistranslation of the words

sheol and the Greek words hades, tartarus and gehenna, to mean hell.

But we do know that satan and his demons will be there and that this will last forveer and ever

Being sustained by God , for how can hell exist forever unless it is also sustained by the
"Eternal One"

It is the Will Of God that none should perish but that all should have "eternal life"

2 Peter 3:9

He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance

does this mean that some will not have eternal life ? that some will perish ?

God would want for all to know Him

And this is "The Lords Will"

again todays scripture verse

Psalm 33:4-5
“For the word of the LORD is right and true; he is faithful in all he does. The LORD loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of his unfailing love.”

John 6: 48 I am the bread of life. 49Your forefathers ate the manna in the desert, yet they died. 50But
here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which a man may eat and not die. 51I am
the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever.
This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”

So it was Gods will that His Chosen people should store up those things of eternal value

It was not the eating of the manna which saved them 'no' for if it was then they would not
have perished in the desert (see above post)

It was what came out of their mouths.............

Matthew 15:11

What goes into a man's mouth does not make him 'unclean,' but what comes out of
his mouth, that is what makes him 'unclean.'"

In this they tested God and Moses had to plead for the people, yet they perished at the
journeys end

The eating of the manna did not save them for there is more than "the taking part in"

Barnes' Notes

Your fathers did eat manna - There was a real miracle performed in their behalf; there was a
perpetual interposition of God which showed that they were his chosen people.

And are dead - The bread which they ate could not save them from death. Though God
interfered in their behalf, yet they died. We may learn,

For they thought not of the miracles God had done but sought the temporal things that perish

In this is the seed and the sower

THE HIDDEN BIBLE - Psalm 105, Study 8

In the seeking of the temporal they put aside the eternal

Matthew 6:21

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Regardless of there being a hell and putting "hell" aside

The word 'perish' appears 149 times in the KJV Bible.

Definition (greek) by implication to perish (causatively, destroy): - break, destroy)

These were Gods chosen ones, yet they perished in the wilderness

It was God will that they were saved and He saved them again and again, it was not through
their own strength or means but by His Power

It was Gods will that they enter the promised land

It is Gods will that ALL enter and do not perish in the temporal

Nonetheless these things were entered into scripture inspired by the Holy Spirit that we might learn from these lessons

As it is clear that these things can also happen to those who are "Chosen"

Again : It is Gods will that ALL enter and do not perish in the temporal

Heres another scripture in stark contrast

Isaiah 57:1

The righteous perish, and no one ponders it in his heart; devout men are taken away, and no
one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil.

This is thought to be referring to Manassehs reign
2 Chronicles 33:9

And so we see that the word "perish" can mean perishing in this life or perishing in the next

I leave you to "selah" and think about this

No one really knows, this side of glory

As scripture only tells us so much, so as to stop men from gaining the heights and scaling the walls of knowledge to ascend to the heights of God

God what we see is merely the tip of the iceberg in scripture

And even knows the ways of mankind........hence not all is shown or explained

then words cannot explain or comprehend

BUT it is Gods Will that we explore His Word
