The Seasons Of Seasoning - Psalm 104 - Part 4

The Seasons Of Seasoning - Psalm 104 - Part 4

Psalm 104:19-23

Notice here in this Psalm that the moon is mentioned before the sun

Because the night leads into the day

This is when we awake by the perfect clock of the Maker

Everything works in time and motion
The universe can be seen as the inside of a watch

All the intricate parts moving in perfect uni - Son

The moon, the gravitational pulls making the rising and the going down of
the tides ...

The moon affecting our very being with everyone of us being made from 60 to 80 per cent
water (depending on how old we are)

The Moon revolving around the earth with both the moon and the earth revolving around the sun

The sun rising in the east and setting in the west

The stars each one having a purpose and a meaning and reason for being there

Each one having a gravitational pull and affecting all bodies around it

For everything there is a season and a time

Not just here on earth but throughout the universe and beyond anything we have seen or
imagined so far

A time to end all things and bring all things to a close (that we know of)

A time to make all things new

A time to begin the recreation

A time to start the regeneration

A time to begin again

A time to say "LET THERE BE LIGHT"

If every orbiting sphere in the universe has a reason and a purpose and a meaning to it !!

How much more so every human being who is born from the earth ?

Every person affecting those around them

Every person having a specific reason to be doing and moving and having their being

Every person having a specific role to play as each new day unfolds from its night

Each and every person having a specific path to follow

Every person having a mission to accomplish

A destiny to fulfill

How much more so a "New Creation" ?

A time to gather and a time to scatter

A time to sow

My direction is governed by Him but also governed and purposed by those around me affecting my
decisions and direction.....I need to know the difference between His voice and direction and the
voice of distraction making me change my course and path away from His

He continous to form this creation and the time is not yet

There will be a time when all things come to an end and He will make all things new

Until then I have the Holy Spirit directing me and inworking inside me

To make the most of each new day , not knowing that what tomorrow will bring or even if there will
be a tomorrow

But knowing His purposes and walking in His purposes, I must see this time as a training ground
for the future life

Day Four

Even the bad things that happen to me have a reason and purpose

Not everything I like is good for me

Psalm 104:25-26 - Genesis 1:20-23

Now here lets lets go to Genesis and note

Genesis 1:20-23And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

First the night and then the day

First the evening and then the morning

Night leads into day

Now God provides all kinds of living creatures and in verse 26 we see the Leviathan

Theres all kinds and types of debate about this one

Amongst biblical scholars and the like

Some may put the Leviathan down to mythology, some down to all kinds of biblical
meaning and being figurative, some down to simply a "Big Fish"

We know that Jonah was swallowed by a "Big Fish"

But I like to think of this as much like a child reading a story book

That really is the parallel, I like to draw when reading the bible

We are all "Children" reading a story book and our minds can be filled with wonder and awe

Even the greatest minds can never figure out the true meanings and no words can ever explain

Now I'm going to focus here on the sea and the Monster of the sea, as relating it to my life

Notice Im relating it to me and I - so that when you read this , you will read it as "I" and "Me"

We often notice the Leviatham at times of great trouble and distress

Note in Job 3:8 Job 41:1 and we know about the story of Job !

We also see the Leviatham mentioned in Psalm 74:14 Psalm104:26 note that this is relating to
the last two messages about a man under great distress and torment of soul

the next verse and passage might shed more light on "Who the Leviatham is " in Isaiah 27:1

1In that day, the Lord will punish with his sword, his fierce, great and powerful sword,

Leviathan the gliding serpent, Leviathan the coiling serpent; he will slay the monster of the sea.

I must realise that although the waves might come up against me that Jesus is bigger than the
waves and He will reach out His hand at the right time

I must realise that although the monster of the deep is bigger than me, God is bigger than all

I must learn to trust Him above all else

These troubles and trials are part of Gods working in me , to try and test my faith

After all is said and done, it is me and God

Whatever man may say , ultimately I must do as God requires and instructs

Only then will I see and know the true outcome of those things that I cannot explain

God made the Leviatham to play in the sea, but God also made the sea and only He is bigger than
all of these

Psalm 104:21-24 and Psalm 104:27-30 -- Genesis 1:24-31

Now we see that this Psalm reflects on Genesis and the creation !

But there is one slight difference here and can you spot the difference ?

Between the genesis original creation and this Psalm ?

1.We have seen reflections of the first creation when Jesus said "Let there be Light"...

And we go on from that to apply it to us

2.We noted the the "Trinity" layed the foundations and that He is continuing to build brick upon
brick and that He is "Preparing a place for us"

3.we also noted that the valleys rose and the mountains sank down in the original creation and
that Jesus does that now by preparing a way for us and levelling the valleys and bringing the mountains
to their rightful level (in other words you might see it as "bringing down those who may be proud and#
haughty in heart and raising up those who may be downtrodden and forsaken"Wink

4.We saw that on day four that everyone and everything has a purpose and a meaning and that
all things actually revolve around God, whether they intend too or not and that we can sometimes be
waylaid by others around us, whether we intend to be or not, even though they and their lifes
are revolving around Gods purposes for them even though they may not know Him (yet) or want
to know Him

5.We noted that the "Leviatham" who we know was arounbd at creation and indeed before creation
is also still around and is often found in the bible at times of great distress, will be slain.

Now we come to day 6 and we see a difference here and the difference is in "Man"

Psalm 104:23 Then man goes out to his work, to his labor until evening

The Soot of sin has affected the whole of creation but the sin was in the disobedience of "man"

Nonetheless, He (The Trinity) continues to sustain and provide for all of His Creation

Psalm 104:30 When you send your Spirit, they are created, and you renew the face of the earth.

Yes He gives all things breath, His breath, since the first creation God continues to work, to
renew, restore, recreate and sustain

Its יבראון yibbareun or "They are created again."

From the original creation all things are becoming again

Nothing would exist or continue without that "sending forth of the Spirit"

Job 33:4 The Spirit of God has made me; the breath of the Almighty gives me life.

Ezekiel 37:5 This is what the Sovereign LORD says to these bones: I will make breath
enter you, and you will come to life.

Lord God , Jesus breathe new life into bones gone dry

I am to work as unto Him above all else

In all my ways I must acknowledge Him and He will direct my paths and straighten my ways

To know that He provides for all and not just for me

He loves all and not just my denomination or leaning

He sustains all and not just believers

He breathes new life into me so that I might be a vessel to breath upon others

He is changing me and making me into the person He wants me to be for His Son

Preparing me for the time when all things shall be made new.....once more
