The Two Willed War,Psalm 106, Study 20,
SUBMITTING TO GOD - GOING AGAINST THE TIMES
In the last study we saw that the authorities will might go against Gods Will and how Gods people can follow Gods above the governing authority
So that the authority we submit too may change as we seek to obey God
Now in this study we look at how Gods will for our lifes and day to day activities may go against the authorities
Something we do in Gods Will can go against the authorities in that doing Gods will might bring us up against the governing authorites and get us into a lot of trouble
And we will see that following God is not about being in a popularity contest, in fact we could well be disliked and very unpopular
In this we turn the tables from "the authority over us" to "God over the authority we submit too"
..................
And this study will conclude the "free will studies"
2 Timothy 2:9
for which I am suffering even to the point of being chained like a criminal. But God's word is not
chained.
This is Paul in chains for preaching the gospel under house arrest
Though the Word of God cannot be chained and brings freedom and liberty to the captives yet
DOING The Word Of God can go against the authority of the place we are in and put us in chains
Being restricted even in this day and age by legislations and rules that try to bind us
Yet the Word of God bring liberty and freedon to those who hear it and delivers them from
captivity
Hebrews 11:36
Some faced jeers and flogging, while still others were chained and put in prison.
Gill's Exposition
And others had trial of cruel mockings,.... As Samson by the Philistines; Elisha by the children,
whom the bears devoured; Jeremiah by Pashur, and others; the Jews by Sanballat and Tobiah,
when building the temple; the prophets, whom God sent to the Jews, as his messengers,
Judges 16:25
Jeremiah 37:15 They were angry with Jeremiah and had him beaten and imprisoned in the
house of Jonathan the secretary, which they had made into a prison.
Daniel 11:33 "Those who are wise will instruct many, though for a time they will fall by the
sword or be burned or captured or plundered
And so doing Gods will - willingly can lead us into difficulties
But also not doing Gods can also lead us into difficulties

Matthew 10:8
Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out
demons. Freely you have received, freely give.
......................................................
Lord God In Jesus name thankyou that you freely gave yourself and I freely received
you and I freely give, willingly
In Jesus name amen

I,ll leave this as an open topic if people want to use it to reflect on "Free will"
