War Of The Worlds,Psalm 105, Study 5

War Of The Worlds,Psalm 105, Study 5

I was thinking this morning how my recent plague has taken all my attention

This is the way God has designed us

We know that when our bodies are in danger everything will be shut down to protect the vital organs

And it seems the same when we are ill and really ill, our bodies focus on getting rid of the invading infections and viruses

With this in turn our minds take to feeding on anything that might help the body to get through

And this reminds me of when Peter lost sight of Jesus and begun to sink into the water as at this time all he could see was the wave and this was the way God had designed peter to look at the impending problems and dangers and to focus on those things until such as time as he was no longer in danger, so too we know that this is the way of the animal kingdom

And so at times like these when things go beyond our control then Jesus can reach out His right hand
and then it is for us to take that Right hand

And this is where the decision comes and free will........"Do I take the Hand ? or do I not take the Hand and try in my own strength to do something that was never designed for me to do ? "

Anyway the plague is lifting and Im feeling better so the focus I believe is on

Exodus 9:1

Then the LORD said to Moses, "Go to Pharaoh and say to him, 'This is what the LORD, the God of the Hebrews, says: "Let my people go, so that they may worship me."

Revelation 20:7–10

7 And when the thousand years are ended, d Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will
come out eto deceive the nations that are at the four corners of the earth, f Gog and Magog,
g to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea.

Now take note of the [d] [f] and [q]

And so we realise there is a war going on in spiritual places,

And what we see in the physical (natural) world is only the tip of the iceberg

There was a war for peoples souls, there is a war for peoples souls and there will
be a war for peoples souls

For Although the battle is won, the battle is still being fought and there will be a final battle

For Having blinded the minds of unbelievers we know that this is only a part of satans tactics
and he would have us all hardhearted towards God if he could

And obviously being we would not want to let go of those things that serve as slaves in our lifes

When in fact those very things make us slaves

lets look at [d]

[d] Revelation 20:2 And he seized [p] the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan,
and [q] bound him for a thousand years,

[p] being - Revelations 12:9 And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent,
who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—

We have already seen that a day does not always have to mean a day and in this a thousand years does not always reflect a thousand years, we know that much of revelations is "images, symbols and figures"

But from the above we can ascertain that this is the same satan as in the "serpent" thrown down
from heaven and who tempted Eve in the garden

[f] being Ezekiel 38: 2 k“Son of man, set your face toward mGog, of the land of nMagog, the
ochief prince of pMeshech1 and pTubal, and qprophesy against him

(son of man is ezekiel 2:1 (ezekiel) or son of Adam

Barnes' Notes on the Bible

Gog and Magog - The name "Gog" occurs as the name of a prince in Ezekiel 38:2-3,
Ezekiel 38:16, Ezekiel 38:18; Ezekiel 39:1, Ezekiel 39:11. "He is an invader of the land of Israel,
the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal," Ezekiel 38:2. "Magog" is also mentioned in Ezekiel 38:2,
"the land of Magog"; and in Ezekiel 39:6, "I will send a fire on Magog."

Now then we are looking at Psalm 105 in relation to "bringing Israel to the Promised Land

And also applying it to "Christians"

Now we briefly glimpse at satan the "enemy" because behind all that God hates the enemy lurks

As we know that God is love and He loves everyone

Now this intro may seem a mish mash at the moment but you neeed to hold to see where we are going

And so as the poeple left Egypt they took with them many things

God had defeated the enemy

However...the words "LET MY PEOPLE GO" still echoed

As the enemy may have still remained inside

Many things such as fear, resentment, selfishness, anger, jealousy, self ambition, materialism, attitudes,

Many things such as the Egyptian culture, their ways, their beliefs, their gods, their food,

These things in a Christian can be "known" when the Holy Spirit draws us to them and points to them

When the Holy Spirit convicts and shows these things to us in the Light

These things are then for us to ascertain and put right with God

That is "with me" "us" and not for other people

It is not for others to tell me what is right or what is wrong in the eyes of God

You see although the people had been freed from their slavery, it was still for them to loose thenselves from the inner "Egypt" the inner "slavery"

Can a Christian live the life in abundance yet still hold onto the "old way or ways "?

Well yes, you can hold onto anything be it property, possessions, money, job, marriage, anything

If that thing has become more and bigger than God then it is a god

So you hand that thing over to God only to find that your stronghold of "security" has moved to something else instead and so it goes on

We can be very clever in that we can move our god around to hide in places or too move our god around from place to place to avoid detection

The only way in the end is to give all over to God and this is where the day by day, continious repenting (as in a repentant heart or heart of repentance), dailym seeking, daily searching, daily salvation, comes in

This is a continious process of being saved

And so we see that the Isaelites took with them the inner "god of egypt"

This is where the "will" is, this is the heart of the matter

One thing that God could not do was too wash away the inner god

Although with the springs of Elim and the waters of Marah God purged away the inner impurities of the egyptian food and ways

But still it was for the Israelites to reach out the hands to God (as with Peter on the water)

God had reached down to themn and now it was for the people to reach out to God

Having taken these inner gods with them, they then were found to mumble and groan and were found to worhip the golden calf

Now the inner gods became the outer gods

And we know that ......that generation never enterted the "Promised land"

And so with the inner struggles came the outer conclusion

The invisible unseen became the visible and seen and final conclusion to their journey

Now lets go to the promised land

And see what happened as they took possession of that land

Judges 1:27-36

failed to dislodge the Jebusites,

Manasseh did not drive out the people of Beth Shan or Taanach or Dor or Ibleam or Megiddo

29Nor did Ephraim drive out the Canaanites living in Gezer

30Neither did Zebulun drive out the Canaanites living in Kitron or Nahalol, who remained among them;

31Nor did Asher drive out those living in Acco or Sidon or Ahlab or Aczib or Helbah or Aphek or Rehob,

33Neither did Naphtali drive out those living in Beth Shemesh or Beth Anath;

Judges 2

1The angel of the Lord went up from Gilgal to Bokim and said, “I brought you up out of
Egypt and led you into the land that I swore to give to your forefathers. I said, ‘I
will never break my covenant with you, 2and you shall not make a covenant with the
people of this land, but you shall break down their altars.’ Yet you have disobeyed me.
Why have you done this? 3Now therefore I tell you that I will not drive them out
before you; they will be [thorns] in your sides and their gods will be a snare to

Now note this is "THE Angel Of The Lord" this is Jesus

Now once more the peoples that were not driven out of the lands became a thorn in the flesh

Now their gods became the goids of the Israelites

And once again the circle continued

Now Im not saying that we do not stand with all the promises of God,

Or that we do not become new creations

When I became a Christian, I suddenly walked in from the "world"

From a non Chistian background and God began working from the inside out

BUT there were some things that I held onto

And this is the point/ message

Not to point at things and say "tut tut"

But for me to address things maybe in my life that have never yet been addressed

And remember its not just about me, this site unlike a Church can be addressing someone from a "non Christian - athiest or any religion of which there are hundreds

So God might actually speak to someone that may not be in my particular denomination wooooooooo

When I was first saved (that is saved from death to life) I brought with me all kinds of habits and rituals

Do you know I never sinned before I became a Christian ? at least I did'nt know what sin was until then

It took many years for the drinking habit to go and God dealt with that through lifestyle changes

Smoking ? mmm that took 15 years of my Christian life

getting baptised woo that took 8 years of arguing with God before I finally took the plunge and it was the right time for me to do it, now that was a great witness and testimony being on the beach in the summer

Many many things I had to put right and some God dealt with that were beyond me

But you know Ive got a long way to go

As I draw nearer to God so He shows me more and more things that I still neeed to put right with Him

OOoooo its almost like a CONTINIUOS PROCESS...

But well one day I shall be with God and then at that time it will be the "LAST DAYS" of those things

That will be the time when I finally let go and let God

Because that will be the only time when I have no control over my destiny or my old body

So what Ive been doing with my Christian walk for the last 31 years is to "catch up" with God and what He has already see !

It might take me a lifetime to catch up with what God did at my salvation from death to life

But He continious to save me on a daily basis, maybe not from death but from daily attacks and daily mistakes

So although the Word Of God tells me "I am a new creation"

I am adopted and loved

I am Holy

I have all the promises of God

I am Righteous

and an exhaustive list that goes on and onnnnnnnnnnnnn

Of course I believe that

But Im interested in real Christian living and not in hairy fairy pie in the sky

Ive got a long way to go....on my Faithwalk

If I were to release my personal conversations with God and struggles and fights

OOoooo people would be sooo offended, "how dare you speak to God like that"

Well my reply is...."Read how people speak to God in His word"

Bye Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

So what was all that about ?

well I came out of Egypt and I began my Faithwalk towards the promised land

And "oops whats this...I have certain things Ive brought with me "

oooo God ain't gonna be happy with me then

Ahhh God knew you see and He enabled me at the right times to deal with these things

Hahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa bye bye to those things that controlled meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, bye bye to certain things that controlled parts of my lifeeeeeeeeeee" ( does waving emoticon)

Its the end times for youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

Now whats next"

"Well He took me on with all that rubbish at the start so He must know what He's doing ?

Maybe He got it wrong ?

Maybe my life does'nt quite equate and relate to the Bible so maybe I might as well give up and seek an alternative"

God uses ordinary people like me

If you were perfect now then...whats the point....God would probably call you home as His work would be finished in you

So I say again....whats next ?

Maybe its my impatience ? ooo noooo its gonna be soemthing that I did'nt even know about and that Ive hidden wayyy down inside for yearssssssssssssss

oooooooooooo not againnnnnnnnnnnnn

Yayyy it s gone

Ok what next Lord ?"
