I lift my eyes /sight/ view/ to the mountain/ hill / Lord / Jerusalem on the Hill / God/ to the higher power above my circumstance / Rock /

While callng upon the Lord - I lift my circumstance to Jesus..

Whatever tunnel I am in and whatever circumstance - I lift my burdon by calling upon the Lord "who is worthy to be praised"

In this context it is walking up the hill the Jerusalem [but it is a metaphor/ picture/image] as we walk up and ascend above in our second step.

We cannot see ahead as we take one day at a time and one step at a time.

We only see as through a mirror dimly -  we are as those walking with a candle or lamp,

So we give our view over to God - the Lord of our life - so that He who knows all things and see's all things - can be our Light.

To guide us as we take the second step and as we learn to walk [as infants]

I  see a person here - drawing an image of an eye.

And the eye is being drawn as bloodshot - it is drawn as one who is troubled and crying.

I see the person drawing drops - like a person crying, these are tear drops..

I see a person drawing tear drops and they are crying inside...

I have someone going through a tunnel and you cannot see the end of the tunnel - you are hiding away, you want to escape.

God is watching you, He knows all about your day to day feelings and thoughts.

He wants you to come out of that tunnel and stop hiding away and He longs to see you come out

Unknowingly I spoke about "a shadow" the shadow that we cast and the shadow of the enemy - which leads us back to shadows now...  Shadows of the enemy and shadows we leave

Psalm 121:5 The LORD is your keeper: the LORD is your shade on your right hand.

And so using the Lamp I walk another step as we look at "The Lord" who is the shadow on our right hand - holding our right hand.

So now the shadow is cast back to the previous study....without my knowledge.

See :Psalm 109:6 Appoint someone evil to oppose my enemy; let an accuser stand at his right hand.

And so a neighbour is at the right hand of the person who is not of God - and this prayer interceeds and interrfers with the enemies as their right hand becomes their downfall.  therefiore the word to us is

Jude 1:24 To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy-

But to others the word is Psalm 109:6  from the right hand accuser/shadow/

So both Israel and it.s enemies have those standing at the right hand.

I appeal to a person who this represents to make the "LORD" at the right hand and to stop the shadow of the past dominate your present life - and from now on walk with the Lord at your right side and to let your future be a shadow of your past [this topic is a lesson - as to how the future can be a shadow of the past]

Please stop the past being a shadow of your future.................... and I speak to myself here as we walk on together

In other words "do  not be overshadowed" but overshadow/overcome/overstep in Christ.

Now as I attempt to draw near to God - He draws near to me...

I am  walking with God at the right hand in darkness [He came down into darkness] and He is my Lamp/light/candle/ at my right hand

He can see my path fully because He is the Light of the World and I am walking with the Light at my side [He is holding my hand] yet there are times when He will [seem] to  let go .

He lets go so that in all circumstances - I might learn from every ordeal or trial....

I am  walking as if I am  in a dark room ? yet He can see all things in front of me [as if in a room full of light] yet I am scared of the dark.

This psalm shows the sovereign will of God - that He is the owner and watcher of my soul.

As I  lift our eyes to the hills [second step]  God lowers His eyes to me.

He knows my coming and going [my waking and sleeping] and every day of my life

Psalm 139:16 Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

He is the owner of that room as I take a step at a time ... and a day at a time...

As I  walk within a dark room - so I lift my eyes and God responds because I am seeking [allowing] God to sit at my right hand...  yet in a sense I do not always allow God at my right hand .

In this second step we call upon the Lord, now we take one step at a time and one day at a time..

Literally we wake and walk and go back to sleep as the hebrew people did in the wilderness [totally dependent on God] as they walked their journey from day to day and here the cloud by day masked them from the literal heat of the sun and fire by night kept them warm as they slept in freezing temperatures of the desert.

This was their protection by day and night and this is why it says

Behold, he that keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep."

Now lets go back to the shadow the LORD is your keeper: the LORD is your shade on your right hand." here the shield was known to defend and the right hand to attack and so God protects at the right hand .

It does not mean you will not be tempted neither does it mean you will never face  persecution or distress, nor trials and tribulations, but in all God is watching over each individual [all the time] - His shade or shadow.

Indeed God Himself will test us that our armour becomes the best armour .

Indeed the hebrew people made many mistakes and Jacob became Israel. [struggle/argument]

And so the only reason Jacob was kept alive was because God was his Shade/shadow, God was the hill or mountain that the hebrew people cried out too [so here and even then God waas watching over His people as a shadow [likened to eagles wings] listen : Psalm 91:4 NLT He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.

Here God protects the armies of Jerusalem, Here God protects [not by numbers or by their might or armour] see : the story of Gideon in the book of Judges and throughout the bible..

Here God protects those He shades [yet the hebrew people faced temptations in the wilderness] and God tested them "because they were under his shade and shadow...

So we stop hiding in the shadows [like Jonah] and follow the Light day by day and step by step

In the end it is only because we see God and look to the hills - that shows that we are under God's protection and shadow/shade.  - Why else would we look to the hills / mountains /  having taken the first step we move on.

This is why God will never leave you - because He never stops watching you and why you will not stumble [as you walk with the lamp at your right side] although you yourself will seem to stumble as you learn... see : the example of the hebrew people in the wilderrness as they stumbled at some steps.

So although a baby will stumble - [this is a natural way of learning to walk] it does not mean that they do not have a Father or a mother.

In other words "the only reason you look to a Hill/mountain/father/mother/helper/provider/protector/ in times of trouble is that you recognise that there is a greater power at you right hand/shadow/shade/

This was true of the hebrew people [whom God heard and answered ] see : Exodus 2:24

Colossians 3:1-4  If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. 3 For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is your  life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

Here we are walking the steps... and taking the second step - to have our minds renewed.

And so as we walk the steps it must be evident that we change - the change must begin within - and this creates the shadow upon others around us.

Their clearly is change in a person and not just belief in Christ.

The person crying inside has Joy  Isaiah 61:3  and the person walking through the tunnel comes out of the tunnel to see 1 Peter 2:9

Come out and walk today.

Your life is hidden in Christ - but this protection does not mean you will not be tempted or tested..

Thankyou Father God in Jesus name that You turn the crying into joy and the darkness into Light.

The pain we feel creates  a desire in us to seek You and the Troubles make us turn to You, the tunnel makes us  question our path and the crying /past/ motivates us.

Next to a thorn a rose always grows

Thankyou Lord for this blessing in our lives - In Jesus Name Amen

You see what you are going through is nothing new - God heard the cries of His people and saved and bore his children in the wilderness - He Brought them out of the tunnel and gave beaty for ashes and these people were called "the hebrew people" those set apart".

This is why they were in a tunnel and why they cried out [cried inside]

Come out my people.. [ not something in the past - but God calling you now]
